Storm Ventures and SFMOMA — A match so good, it had to be Dreamforce

We have finally recovered from our VIP event at the SFMOMA, where we had the pleasure of hosting alongside Engagio — one of our investments. We are fortunate to have been working with Jon Miller since 2008 on both Engagio and Marketo.

Some 2,800 guests joined us, all of whom got to enjoy a private viewing of the remodeled SFMOMA. It recently reopened after being closed for three years.

Dreamforce

Dreamforce represents the largest SaaS conference in the world. As you can probably guess, throughout the week of Dreamforce, there’s a lot of events and even more parties. This makes planning an opportunity to bring people together, an opportunity to meet potential customers, and an opportunity to just unwind can be pretty challenging. How do you make yourself heard or seen amongst the chaos? How do you draw a crowd?

Well it turns out, the answer is actually pretty simple. You provide a once in a lifetime opportunity.

SaaS and Modern Art.

Our hope by sponsoring the evening was simple. We wanted to provide a truly special experience for our community. We did this by providing an opportunity to see the recently reopened SFMOMA with NO crowds.

We thought that the evening would be a welcome respite from the crazy work weeks we all experience, that the art would provide intimate and creative opportunities for our founders, and that the company would provide much needed merriment around this celebration of SaaS.

Were we successful? We’ll let you decide.

Thanks again to Engagio, without whom this enchanting night would have never come to fruition.
