One of the goals I always had when I started blogging was consistency. I wanted to make sure that I kept consistently writing so that it became habit forming, and for awhile I was successful. And then life caught up and other priorities began to take precedence. It’s a story we all share, because consistently doing anything is hard! Really hard! But here’s my attempt to jump back into it!

But first, and update!

Since it’s been almost a year (Wow!) since my last post, I thought we should start with some updates.

• I still work at Storm Ventures where I’m a Senior Associate on the investment team focused on AI enabled SaaS investing, vertical SaaS, GovTech, Sale & Marketing Tech, and companies outside of the Bay Area.
• I got engaged last year! (Photo’s at the bottom)
• I moved in with some of my best friends.
• Joined the board of my first company.
• Founded BLCK VC — formed to connect, engage, empower, and advance Black venture investors by providing a focused community built for and by Black venture investors
• Took on guitar and golf as new hobbies. I have a lot still to learn.

What’s next?

Now that you’ve gotten up to speed, let’s talk about something that’s currently been on my mind a lot. I realize that a lot of people trying to break into VC need a bit of help when it comes to some basic resources. So here’s some stuff I wanted to share.
